Covid Update November 19th

To the Catoro family,

We regret to inform you that one of our staff members has tested positive for COVID-19. Please be assured that those who have been in direct contact with the exposed individual will be notified within the next 24 hours by Catoro/Vancouver Coastal Health.

We are working diligently with Vancouver Coastal Health and public health authorities to ensure they have all the most accurate information so they can keep our community safe

If you have visited Catoro since Nov 4th, there is a small possibility that you may have been exposed. Please monitor your health for up to 14 days since your visit to Catoro. Unless notified of your direct contact with the exposed individual, please carry on as you are but monitor for symptoms each day. If you do begin showing symptoms or become ill, call 8-1-1 or your doctor to get tested and to discuss next steps. Those with mild to no symptoms but may have been exposed to a confirmed case are urged to stay at home for 14 days to self isolate and practice social distancing.

Catoro will be closed effective Nov 18th until further notice. We will be performing a store-wide deep clean and sanitization to eliminate the spread of the virus. Due to the nature of our business, extra cleaning and sanitization is a regular protocol for our store, so the risk of contamination is relatively low. However, we will not take any risks and will take the proactive steps to ensure all our guests are safe and healthy. Any guests with upcoming reservations will be contacted by Catoro staff to re-book your appointment.

Although we are closing, we will still have over 20 kitties as Catoro that still need love and care. Our staff will still make the effort to continue working at a minimal capacity while practicing safe social distancing so that our cats can be happy and healthy and ready for you when we re-open. Any support either through GoFundMe or by making an online order through Catoro goes a long way to help us to provide ongoing care for the cats.
