Age: Young Adult
This beautiful boy has the sleekest, slonkiest profile and a magical silky coat of rosettes. His looks and personality are bengal to a T! While this cat breed is the ideal companion for some, Bengals are a notoriously abandoned breed. Many people are drawn to their beauty without realizing how much extra effort is needed to raise them. For this reason, a lot of research is recommended before giving this boy his forever home.
While you can train a Bengal to have "good manners", they are an active, inquisitive cat that loves to be up high. This means they want the equivalent of a kitty jungle gym, which often ends up being your furniture and kitchen counter (especially once they learn that this is where you keep your bread!) They are incredibly affectionate and can be a "lap cat," but their idea of fun is playing, chasing, climbing and investigating. They'll often save the cuddle time for when they want to sleep. Many Bengals enjoy water and may join you in brushing your teeth or taking a shower. Most Bengals are also incredibly loud and have super unique vocalizations! Some homes will find this amusing, but it tends to be another reason Bengals are surrendered. If you're nervous about neighbours, Zeus may not be the right fit for your home. Bengals will also, in general, ALWAYS want to be where you are. After all, that's where the action is! It's highly recommended to take your Bengal friend on accompanied and harnessed outdoor adventures and find lots of ways for them to amuse themselves at home - they love to exercise both their brains and bodies!
Zeus has the standard sweet and curious Bengal attitude. He absolutely loves to explore and investigate but will always pause to give you nuzzles and kisses. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, but his extreme excitement and muscular build means he may inadvertently use claws or teeth. When he wants something he will let you know with very loud howls, and will chirp and trill while playing. He can be a bit anxious in unfamiliar situations but never takes it out on you.
